Frequently Asked Questions
GFP Ratings Methodology
We use the weakest link approach. Every product is given the rating of its worst ingredient.
Our algorithm identifies your product’s key ingredients. Then it searches our extensive clean skin care database to find products containing as many of the key ingredients as possible. Finally, your Good Face Consultant reviews each recommended alternative, and selects the best three for you.
This is how we refer to power ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E, and peptides, that have been scientifically proven to deliver skin health and appearance results.
We scour and aggregate existing research that is available on PubMed, PubChem, published by the FDA or by a handful of international consumer end environmental protection agencies. We do not impart our own judgment. If we cannot find safety research on an ingredient, we do not recommend for or against it.
Our ratings reflect existing research, nothing more, and nothing less. If research which lowers an ingredient’s rating becomes available at a later time, we will be sure to let you know.
We can help you with anything that goes on your face or body, and is not make up or hair color. No, we do not screen detergents, toothpaste, and house cleaning products.
The deal is the following, screen 10 products for $14.95. Please be sure to submit all your skin care products in the original order. If you forget one or two, or for any other issues, get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will help you out.
